Women's Honour Board and New Buffalos Logo

04/12/2021

Awards on Saturday 4 December began with the presentation of
the first silverware of the season, the Women's T20 trophy this was
presented to Hannah Armstrong as Captain, Jason Gaerth as coach
gave an overview of the season thus far.

Shane Bernhardt recounted Leanne Hunters career and announced
that the trophy for the best female cricketer of the season will be
named the ‘Leanne Hunter trophy’

Leanne unveiled the honour board for Woman’s Cricket, note, ACC
is the first premier club to have an honour board to recognise the
Women’s club captain, club coach, highest run scorer and most
wickets each season The board will also honour the past history
of women’s cricket at the club and record all the player names.

Adelaide Cricket Club is proud to have the city crest as its
emblem. The creation of the Buffalos logo and
nickname came about during the centenary of Grade
Cricket in 1997/98. The name is derived from the well
known “HMS Buffalo”, which landed on our shoreline
containing the first cricket kit used in Adelaide.

To align to the club’s brand and future growth the
Adelaide Cricket Club Buffalos logo has been refreshed
this demonstrates the club's evolution, as we re
introduce a women’s program and keep up with modern
thinking of the business. The new design maintains the
key elements of the famous HMS Buffalo along with the
colour pallet thus providing a true representation of our
proud past
