Talented Adelaide Cricket Club trio Michael Cormack, Cameron Valente and Ben Pengelley (pictured L to R) have all been selected to play in the JLT Cup, the national One-Day Competition, in a terrific reward for the players and club program.
Kicking off Season 2017/18 at First Class level, impressive off-spinner Cormack and classy allrounder Valente have continued their work with the South Australia Redbacks. This follows their quality performances in the same format in Season 2016/17, when 'Fud' Valente claimed the national award for most wickets in the competition, as well as scoring his big Redbacks ton.
Having joined Michael Cormack at the National Performance Centre over winter, developing all-rounder Ben Pengelley has been invited to play in the talented Cricket Australia XI side in the tournament, and will be keen to have a crack at his fellow-Redbacks teammates. Formerly of Whyalla in our linked 'Upper North' country zone, Ben is progressing very nicely and may also be a sneaky chance at some BBL T20 action later in the summer.
